Route Optimiser Blackbox Integration

Vehicle Scheduling and Route Planning Engines

PTV DPS Route Optimiser technology can be integrated on several platforms.  You can write your own interface for networked or stand-alone scheduling systems and let the software manage the processing and scheduling.

Developer friendly software allows you to enhance your own systems without having to reinvent the wheel.

WebAPI Route Optimiser Direct

Route Optimiser Direct is a web-based scheduling service offered as a "blind engine" enabling external applications to send and receive data via a direct XML interface.

The system is built on the award winning Route Optimiser service allowing users to communicate directly with the software without the need for a graphical user interface.

Route Optimiser Integration Engine

The Route Optimiser Integration Engine is designed to allow other systems to benefit from the power of the Route Optimiser scheduling algorithm without the necessity of having a full Route Optimiser system.

The Integration Engine provides an optimising and vehicle scheduling capability to other applications. It does this by importing data from an order pool in an ERP system, optimising resources, then exporting this data back to the ERP system to drive other business processes such as invoicing, CRM systems, warehouse management systems and in-cab GPS devices etc . All without user intervention.

The system is not only powerful but also flexible and there is a range of scheduling options:
Provide feedback information on the locations and errors via CSV files

Schedule the orders using all information presented as new routes within the constraints given

Schedule orders using zone information to create predefined routes

Schedule orders by adding to existing routes

Provide route information via CSV files

Provide route information via a set of DBF files

Spread selected routes over other selected routes

Re-optimise routes

Schedule orders by continuing the existing schedule

Schedule orders by extending routes

Schedule orders by adding new routes to the existing ones

What Our Customers Say
quote

During our recent peak season we didn't have to hire any additional vehicles to cope with the increased loads, an indication of proper route engineering. Our return on investment has been an overwhelming 700% over a very short period. Most other software packages would only provide us with scheduling functionality whereas the solution provided by DPS/Cargo Ware addressed our particular needs.

To begin with we looked at the challenge presented to us of reducing our cost to deliver, being careful to have NO negative effect on delivery service performance. The initial approach was to select a supplier to assist in the strategic evaluation and modeling. We selected DPS International to carry out a complete audit with their LogiX Suite in the spring of 2009. Firstly, modeling and evaluating the existing routes and finishing with a combination of optimisation and fixed routes to ensure best use of the van fleet and still delivering our service promise to our customers.

By concentrating on the service market, Axfood Närlivs combines local customer focus with efficient logistics. The implementation has taken some time but has still gone very well and we have managed to find routines for an operative daily route planning. The results that we've accomplished so far speak for themselves having a much better overview over the total volumes of transport. We have also had a better control of our routes and we have managed to reduce our transport costs.

The reduction of supply chain costs is the ultimate goal for businesses, and our teaching and advice, combined with the expertise of LogiX, equips our students and businesses with the knowledge to make this happen. The environment can be a contentious issue for the logistics and haulage industry. Our students are now able to prove that it is possible to make a tangible difference to the carbon footprint of a haulage fleet, for example the Financial and Carbon calculator, developed by DPS, provides hard evidence that less miles means less environmental damage. By using LogiX software, students and companies are able to understand complex logistics planning and optimisation, essential to businesses in the current economic climate, giving them the outside edge in today's job market.
