We have been using the service since 2006, since using LogiX we have had the ability to
put science behind what drivers do, it’s a fast changing market and can be seasonal so
this level of technology is advantageous. We are now reviewing our routes looking at what-if scenarios.
Where we moved sites we can use the software to recalculate routes and see if any changes are needed.
The software can’t just go off and give you an answer, but it does make the process of reviewing routes a lot quicker,
and assists in the reengineering of them. LogiX has also been an integral part of a major project to
revise the way in which we calculate our driver payments, a fairer way of paying which compensates for
high stem mileage and rewards high productivity. We will be looking to use it on a tactical day to day basis,
ensuring that the route is organised in the most effective way assisting the drivers and their ability to
delivery improved levels of service to our customers.
(Tina Stretton, Network Development Manager)
The reason I decided on LogiX was really the attention to detail provided by DPS staff.
Nothing so far you have done has disappointed me. I would be happy to recommend your company to other potential users.
The benefits I expect from LogiX are as follows:- Improved route planning, Improved customer service due to knowing
when and where a driver is going to be, resulting in reduced calls to drivers, A 10% saving on overall fleet costs,
Improved long term planning opportunities for fleet upgrade, Allow the introduction of a same day delivery service
within the M25.
(Paul Nightingale, Operations Manager)
There were very tight timescales to our recent major scheduling projects with all our retail blue chip High Street customers,
and we are all too aware that these would not have been met without your attention to our deadlines and assistance with DPS products.
DPS has enabled us in no small measure, to deliver and implement the services required by our customers, on time, within budgets,
and with significant and comprehensive training.
(Thomas Foley, General Manager DTS Logistics)
To us, it was very important that the system was able to describe different types of goods
flow from various types of terminals in an easy way. With the Plan LogiX tramping algorithm,
the flow of goods was described very exactly. It also felt secure to be able to buy a standard
system that would fulfil the planning needs we have.
(P-O Larsson, KF Distribution & Logistics)
I have had personal exposure to the Commercial benefits arising from the use of DPS LogiX in the
General Transport and Light Industrial industries. Our need in PTS was to determine an optimum Routeing
solution for our young people in the journeys to and from Special schools. The specific criteria which
obtained in this project were: a range of different school buses and equipment, specified times on buses,
limited total travel times, and differing values at some pickup and drop points.
LogiX served the PTS very well indeed- their Project Manager working with our In House Operational Management
team to work up trial runs, then final routes, before a successful 'GO Live' in early November 2008.
