The reason behind choosing Route Optimiser from DPS was that Baumatic Ltd attended Logistics Link South with the specific purpose of meeting and viewing transport scheduling software providers. We have been using the service since 2006, since using LogiX we have had the ability to put science behind what drivers do, it’s a fast changing market and can be seasonal so this level of technology is advantageous. We are now reviewing our routes looking at what-if scenarios. Where we moved sites we can use the software to recalculate routes and see if any changes are needed. The software can’t just go off and give you an answer, but it does make the process of reviewing routes a lot quicker, and assists in the reengineering of them. LogiX has also been an integral part of a major project to revise the way in which we calculate our driver payments, a fairer way of paying which compensates for high stem mileage and rewards high productivity.
