PC Based On Premise Solutions

The Route Optimiser Software range delivers a solution that cuts operational costs, improves efficiency and raises customer service levels. Our software is used for daily route optimisation and scheduling, strategic transport planning and real time fleet management for a variety of businesses and operations in many sectors.

DPS offer a range of vehicle scheduling and route planning software that runs on Windows PCs. These applications allow you to produce efficient routes and schedule vehicles as part of your daily planning routine.

By entering data about all your vehicles and products, our software will allow you to easily plan routes, or even use a flexible algorithm to schedule them for you.

Our flagship offline product is complimented by several other offerings, each tailored to specific planning environments.
Offline Products:
PC Suite - An offline software application capable of depot, vehicle and route planning.
Market - A fast and easy way to zone for shops, depots and sites.
Route - An offline software application capable of depot, vehicle and route planning.
Track - While your fleet is out on the road, Track lets you see GPS data at base.

Complete logistics planning and optimising service

The PC Suite provides effective vehicle scheduling management, allowing reduction of transport costs whilst maintaining client service.

The tremendous flexibility of the system makes it ideal for planning day-to-day multi-drop or trunking routes, producing detailed quotations or assessing alternative logistics strategy.

Here are just some of the features:

PC-based - runs on a PC at your office and does not need internet connection
Complete scheduling solution - Manage fleets, depots, drivers and deliveries
One-off payment - Although purchasing annual technical support is recommended, a one-off payment is all that's required

These factors result in massive savings for your business, particularly in the following areas:

Cost savings - typically at least 10%, but often in excess of 25%
Fuel consumption - efficient routing results in smaller fleets using less fuel
Improved customer service - your customer gets the deliveries when they want them, and with the right vehicle

What Our Customers Say

The reduction of supply chain costs is the ultimate goal for businesses, and our teaching and advice, combined with the expertise of LogiX, equips our students and businesses with the knowledge to make this happen. The environment can be a contentious issue for the logistics and haulage industry. Our students are now able to prove that it is possible to make a tangible difference to the carbon footprint of a haulage fleet, for example the Financial and Carbon calculator, developed by DPS, provides hard evidence that less miles means less environmental damage. By using LogiX software, students and companies are able to understand complex logistics planning and optimisation, essential to businesses in the current economic climate, giving them the outside edge in today's job market.

We have been using the service since 2006, since using LogiX we have had the ability to put science behind what drivers do, it’s a fast changing market and can be seasonal so this level of technology is advantageous. We are now reviewing our routes looking at what-if scenarios. Where we moved sites we can use the software to recalculate routes and see if any changes are needed. The software can’t just go off and give you an answer, but it does make the process of reviewing routes a lot quicker, and assists in the reengineering of them. LogiX has also been an integral part of a major project to revise the way in which we calculate our driver payments, a fairer way of paying which compensates for high stem mileage and rewards high productivity. We will be looking to use it on a tactical day to day basis, ensuring that the route is organised in the most effective way assisting the drivers and their ability to delivery improved levels of service to our customers.

DPS enabled EES to increase the capacity of its team without increasing staffing costs and has justified the investment. The software is now an integral part of the Essex Equipment Service delivery process and the potential for further efficiencies using additions to this system are currently being explored by EES.

Paul Willshaw, Operations Manager says, "With the drive to deliver ever demanding ‘customer service excellence’ we took the decision in 2012 to invest in the RouteOptimiser web based Route Planning system from DPS. With the benefits of single route to full fleet optimisation, we have not only speeded up the daily planning process and provided both cost and time savings in the daily operation, we have extended our contract for a further 3 years and are linking up with our in-cab workflow and navigation system Webfleet from Tomtom Telematics"

DPS LogiX, with its superior strategic and dynamic planning functionality, has figured prominently in the successful development of our bulk liquid collection and delivery business and our food distribution division. DPS LogiX is used daily to arrange collections from manufacturing sites for onward delivery to major retail customers via a national distribution centre; all within strict collection and delivery deadlines. Despite DPS having customers worldwide it achieves a local client to customer relationship. Their management style allows immediate response to support issues and bespoke developments.
