The Batch Route Planning System is an advanced system and
is the equivalent of Route LogiX
without the screen displays. It performs using the same methods
of input and output as Command LogiX,
but it includes various, more sophisticated, features.
Features of the Batch Route Planning System:
- Like Route LogiX it
can calculate the quickest, shortest or cheapest route
between two or more points
- The ability to let
the user specify the type of vehicle used
- Can rearrange a series
of call points into their optimal sequence
- Outputs detailed itineraries
as well as overall time and distance
As with Command LogiX, input and output files are designed
around the well known and easy to use Windows .INI file formats.
They are both designed for providing a route planning service
on behalf of other computer programs.
