Flexible Vehicle Routing with Plan LogiX
Plan LogiX has been developed by logistics experts
with extensive knowledge of, and many years experience in,
the transport and distribution field. Rather than produce
a system which completely takes over the decision-making role,
the Plan LogiX developers have devised a system which remains
fully interactive, allowing the user to draw upon his own
experience to make suggestions to the system, thereby enhancing
and fine-tuning the decision-making process.

This unique flexibility and the system's ease-of-use
make it an invaluable tool for planning day-to-day multi-drop routes,
putting out detailed quotations, assessing alternative operations
and conducting a multitude of other tasks that the transport professional
has to perform. In situations where 'semi-fixed' routes
are used, Plan LogiX is more effective than a vehicle scheduling package
because it has zoning and optimisation options to reflect the reality
and cost of your situation. Seamless integration with Route LogiX gives
detailed itineraries and allows vehicle routing down to individual
house level.
As a tactical and strategic tool, Plan LogiX provides effective
vehicle scheduling management, allowing reduction of transport costs
whilst maintaining client service. The tremendous flexibility of
the system makes it ideal for planning day-to-day multi-drop or
trunking routes, producing detailed quotations or assessing alternative
logistics strategy.
Plan LogiX is used in many areas of transport and distribution
including: grocery distribution, chilled and frozen foods, contract
services, parcels/air freight, containers, trunking, electrical
goods and also by sales representatives and tradesmen making service
calls. Plan LogiX is a powerful and versatile vehicle scheduling and
routing system that provides operators with both strategic and tactical
features to deal with the wide range of situations they are likely
to encounter.
The optimisation system in Plan LogiX is called Auto LogiX
and is optional. The Data Server system
is also optional and allows user reports, import and export. All
data in Plan LogiX is always stored in an open format. 'Export'
and 'Import' can be done with access to the format available
at the download
area. A full implementation of LogiX gives the user the best vehicle routing
and scheduling system available:
